From the square Piazza Dante you can reach, on one side, to the right, the National Archaeological Museum on foot, walking along via Pessina, for about 550 meters; on the other side, to the left, the main shopping street via Toledo, also known as Via Roma, which ends in the beautiful Piazza del Plebiscito, from which you access directly to the seafront.

Then, through the arch of Port’Alba, behind the statue of Dante Alighieri, you enter the heart of the old town, starting with an aperitif in the young and vibrant Piazza Bellini, continuing for a great pizza in via dei Tribunali, walking along the street leading to Via Duomo and walking back along the characteristic Spaccanapoli, splitting the city in two parts.

Dante subway Metro Line 1 (in Dante square) leads, on one side, to the hill of Vomero (direction Piscinola), on the other side to the brand new subway stops of Toledo, Municipio (port), Università and Garibaldi (central station).
